SHOOTING RANGE RULES
GLOBAL FIREARM TRAINERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE RANGE ACCESS TO ANYONE.
- When arriving at the shooting range, the SHOOTING RANGE REGISTER must be COMPLETED. The indemnity is in the register and it is your responsibility to READ it!
- Eye and ear PROTECTION ARE MANDATORY for all persons on the range, this includes shooters and spectators.
- You may ONLY REMOVE YOUR FIREARM from its bag on the firing line under supervision of the RO. No handling of firearms is permitted except on the firing line.
- All firearms not on the firing line must be in a bag or case and unloaded.
- No firearms to be handled until instructed to do so by the range officer. Handling of firearms is ONLY permitted at designated shooting areas and with strict regard to safety.
- Once on the firing line, you are not permitted to turn around with a loaded firearm.
- Range officer’s commands must be adhered to always. The RO is in control of the range and range rules and instructions by the RO are not negotiable.
- No person under the influence of alcohol or a substance with a narcotic effect is allowed on the shooting range.
- Persons under 18 must always be accompanied by an adult.
- Clothing must be appropriate for shooting (no flipflops or open shoes. Ladies wear closed tops brass burns).
- Load and unload weapons and magazines inside of the booth only.
- Never load your firearm with people in front of you.
- Always maintain a safe direction.
- No one other than Range personnel may go forward of the firing line.
- Shooting is only to commence on range officer’s command.
- Should you have a malfunction or stoppage which cannot be rectified by yourself, keep your muzzle pointing in a safe direction, raise your hand and wait for the range officer’s assistance.
- Never bring a loaded firearm out of the range. If your firearm malfunctions, lay it in the booth facing down range and notify the Range personnel.
- Food, beverages, and smoking are prohibited on the range. (Smoking is prohibited throughout the building).
- Shooting in the direction of the backstop is the ONLY permitted direction of fire.
- Shooting in any direction other than the designated direction of the backstop on the range is NOT ALLOWED.
- You may ONLY shoot at approved targets.
- Shooting on range signs and equipment is expressly NOT allowed.
- Cross firing of targets is prohibited.
- Firearm types and calibres are to be used ONLY on the appropriate range for the specific firearm and calibre.
- Range personnel reserve the right to inspect any firearms or ammunition for safety considerations.
- Expecting mothers are not permitted on the range at any time.
- Each shooter is responsible for any damage he/she causes.
- NO cartridges loaded with tracer, incendiary or metal piercing bullets are permitted on the shooting range.
- It is you DUTY TO ACT RESPONSIBLY and safely on the range. Should you notice anyone breaking the rules, it is YOUR DUTY to act against such a person and report this to the RO as a matter of urgency.
Should anyone be found breaking the rules or damaging property or equipment and shooting in non-specified areas or directions other than directed or behaving unsafely or irresponsibly in any means on the range, may result in a loss of shooting privileges and or your removal from the range. You will be held liable for cost occurred by non-compliance.
