Clear answers to common questions from accredited training providers.

There is no annual fee or sign-up charge to enter into the agreement.

Optional instructor membership (including an instructor card and certificate) is available for individual instructors and is separate from the provider agreement.

Before applying, you should have a registered legal entity, at least one qualified firearm instructor and assessor, and a designated Responsible Person in accordance with SAPS requirements. These prerequisites ensure your application can progress without delay.

Moderation arrangements must be in place; however, providers may not appoint an internal moderator for their own assessments. Moderation must be conducted by an independent external moderator in accordance with accreditation requirements.

Yes. Providers who are already accredited with PFTC and SAPS may apply to transition to Global Firearm Trainers as their lead service provider.

Upon receipt of the completed application documentation, a Training Material Agreement is prepared. Existing stock from a previous provider may be utilised during the transition period, after which only Global Firearm Trainers material applies.

A formal written cancellation notice must be issued to the current lead service provider once the agreement has been concluded. The necessary documentation will then be submitted to PFTC to reflect the change.

No. In accordance with Global Firearm Trainers policy, a provider may not operate under multiple lead service providers simultaneously.

Alignment to a single lead service provider is required to maintain assessment integrity, documentation consistency, and compliance control.
